Neda Gavric

Neda Gavrić creates literature that pulses with emotion while maintaining a refined sense of form. Her texts explore intimate landscapes — relationships, memories, turning points — yet she approaches them through a broader, almost archetypal lens. Neda writes with a rare blend of warmth and analytical clarity: she notices the small detail that reveals an entire world, then transforms it into a universal image. Her mission is to show how the personal becomes collective, how vulnerability becomes strength, and how literature can serve as a space where a person gathers themselves again from their scattered pieces.

Before you

By Neda Gavrić

Every time I see your eyes
I see the entire world.
I will never say goodbye
To you, my man,
To you, my road.

Every time I hear your voice
I know you are my own.
My heart says you are my choice,
You are my home,
You are my soul.

Everything that hurts me stops,
Now I can breathe again.
With every look my heart drops,
There is no sadness,
There is no pain.

Everything with you makes sense,
Every smile wipes out a tear.
Life is beautiful in every way,
The sky is clear,
There is no fear.

Before you
The days were gray,
The nights were long,
The mornings cold.
Please stay, please stay,
You are my man; you are my world.

It is with you where I belong.
Without your life is hopeless:
An empty heart,
An empty soul
In a night that is moonless.

Before you came
I was just a shadow,
A shadow.
Out of darkness
You made me feel so proud
That such a love,
Such a love exists.
